Chalet Astoria is an extremely comfortable and cosy two-storey family apartment in a prime location. Next door to the Medran lift station and a two minute walk from Place Centrale, guests could not ask for more convenience.

With traditional dark wood and wrought iron furnishings, an enormous leather sofa and a large open fire, Chalet Astoria is a perfect place to curl up after exerting yourself on the slopes. There is a south-facing balcony on both floors, and uninterrupted views can be enjoyed from the comfort of the sitting room through the large French windows.

All three bedrooms are located upstairs, and two of these have additional sofa beds for extra family members or friends. We frequently have guests that take Chalet Astoria in conjunction with friends staying in Chalet Les Skieurs (two bedrooms), which is located directly behind the Astoria building.

Chalet Astoria guests will be welcomed by their chef, who will also clean the chalet daily.

Your own private chef will come in daily to cook for you. Starting if you wish with coffee or tea in bed before a full English or continental breakfast, complimented by freshly squeezed orange juice and specially selected ground coffee – this should set you up for a full day of skiing. Once a week you are treated to a champagne breakfast.

When you arrive home, freshly baked cakes or biscuits will be ready for your afternoon tea. In the evening, pre-dinner drinks and canapés are followed by a four-course gourmet meal, which includes a selection of local cheeses and fine wines.

On Wednesdays your staff take a well-earned day off, when you have the opportunity to sample one of Verbier’s excellent restaurants. They are happy to advise you on these, and to make your booking if requested.

A totally flexible attitude enables us to liaise closely with clients who may have special dietary requirements, or with children who would like different menus and mealtimes.

* Seared scallops with pea, fennel and mint puree.
* Lamb Shank with root vegetable mash, courgette ribbons and thyme sauce.
